This is a fairly large lampwork glass bead and will stand out on a necklace. Plus handmade lampwork glass focal pendant style beads are fun and can be used for a variety of things. They make great zipper pulls, focal bead in a necklace, keyrings and more.
Hole size is 2/32nd of an inch which is slightly larger than the 1/16" hole size. A 2mm cord should fit through the hole in this bead but larger cord will not. Wire will work just fine unless it's a very large gauge.

This looks great on a cord. Hole goes vertically through the bead as shown. It will be easy to string with cord or hemp due to the larger hole size.
